
Here is the first camera phone in the world that comes equipped with the smile shutter technology. Dubbed as the Sony Ericsson C510 Cyber-shot, the handset is powered by a 3.2MP camera module with face detection feature and auto focus camera lens. The phone also has dual photo light, which is perfect for low light condition photography. The C510 Cyber-shot supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 850/1900/2100 and comes with Access NetFront Web browser, Java, Bluetooth, Geo tagging of photos (cell-id), and Google Maps. Sony Ericsson will start provide a software updates for its first 8MP camera phone, the C905. This firmware update adds new feature to the phone including Smile Shutter, YouTube video application and pre-installed Snapfish. The software update will be available from mid-February on Sony Ericsson website. [Slashphone]

Sharp has decided to launch its new 8MP camera phone in China. Dubbed as the Sharp SH810C, the handset also has a 3 inch LCD AVS that offers 854×480 pixels resolution. No word on pricing at this time. [Akihabara]

The Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-Shot is a 8.1MP camera phone that is currently available in Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold. The handset will be available very soon. The C905 offers outstanding picture quality, and provides a 2GB memory stick, and send photos wirelessly to a TV via Wi-Fi. Casio has recently introduced its 830CA 5.2MP camera phone that features face detection and auto focus functions, which will be available in Japan market in the end of November via SoftBank. Available in white, black, orange and gray, the handset features a 3-inch display with 240 x 427 resolution and supports HSDPA, 1-Seg and global roaming service. [AVING]

Samsung comes back with the high-end camera phone. Dubbed as the Samsung PIXON M8800, this 8MP camera phone features a built-in GPS receiver, a built-in accelerometer, DivX playback, and supports quad-band GSM and tri-band HSDPA. Other features include a 3.2-inch touchscreen display (240 x 400 pixels), 8MP camera with auto focus, face recognition, smile detection and blink detection.
