Samsung is out with another simple candybar phone namely the Samsung E2120. This entry-level phone boasts an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to 10 hours of talk time, or up to 559 hours of stand-by time. While, the rest of the specs are pretty standard, you’ll find a 1.52-inch CSTN display with 128 x 128 pixels, 65K colors, a VGA camera, an MP3 player, an FM radio, a 9MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 and supports dual-band GSM/GPRS connectivity. Samsung C3112 DuoS Candybar Shows Up

Samsung has recently unveiled another candybar phone that supports dual SIM cards namely the Samsung C3212 DuoS. However, details remain scarce at the moment, but from what we heard the handset will be launched in Russia first, before the summer’s end, for the retail price of about $196. Nokia 6730 Classic Announced For Vodafone

Nokia has rolled out another one of its candybar phone namely the Nokia 6730 classic that will soon make its way across Vodafone’s global footprint starting June, meaning in many European markets, as well as some African and Asian ones. This new handset runs on Symbian S60 and features a 2.2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colors, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, GPS, Nokia Maps, personal & business email, Mobile Internet support, Vodafone Music Client, a 1GB microSD card, Bluetooth and supports both quad band GSM connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) as well as dual band HSDPA connectivity (900/2100 MHz). Philips X550, Another Phone With impressive Battery Lifetime

Philips has added a new member to its Xenium series with the introduction of Philips X550. This new candybar phone offers a QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP autofocus camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), an FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to one month in stand-by mode. Sadly, the X550 doesn’t have any 3G connectivity, it only supports GPRS and EDGE for data transfers, so it might not be sold in the US. Pricing and availability are still unknown at the moment. More

Samsung C3060R - New Phone For The Elderly

Samsung’s upcoming C3060R handset is targeted especially for the elderly people. This easy to operate candybar phone comes with an illuminated keypad with big buttons along with a special operating system from Samsung which is specifically designed to meet the needs of older folk, including a much larger font size as well as simple menus. Other features include a 2.2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 resolution, a 1.3MP camera, an FM radio and an SOS key. The C3060 will be available in Russia starting In June for about $190. Samsung t349 Messaging Phone To Hit T-Mobile USA On May 20

Another affordable messaging phone from Samsung is making its way to T-Mobile USA. Dubbed as the Samsung t349, this candybar phone offers a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a semi-QWERTY keypad, email, instant messaging, photo caller ID, mobile backup, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity. According to BGR, T-Mobile will start selling the new handset on May 20, for both pre-paid and post-paid customers. Sadly, there’s no info on pricing so far. [Unwiredview]
