T-Mobile USA will soon release the upcoming Nokia 1661 handset for the US market. This simple candybar phone offers a 1.8-inch TFT display with 128 x 160 pixels, FM radio, speakerphone, built-in flashlight, Sudoku and Mobile Soccer games preinstalled and dual band GSM connectivity. Unfortunately, there’s still no word from Nokia on when exactly the handset will be available for purchase in the US, in Europe, the phone retails for only €30 ($40), so T-Mobile USA will probably offer it for free on contract. LG has unveiled its latest candybar phone in Ukraine in the form of the GB210. This affordable handset comes with a speaker that provides good-quality sound and it can play several media file types including MP3, ACC, ACC +, MPEG4 and H.263. Other features include a 1.77-inch TFT display with 128×160 pixels, 4MB of internal memory, microSD card support (up to 4GB), Bluetooth, WAP 2.0 and supports dual band GSM connectivity (900/1800 MHz) with GPRS. LG has released another of its GM series handset known as the GM200. This simple candybar phone offers a good multimedia experience which includes Dolby Mobile technology, stereo speakers, music & video players, a background noise sensor and built-in FM antenna. Other interesting features include 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, 262K colors, 2MP camera, 30MB of internal memory, microSD card support, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and GSM/GPRS connectivity.
