
Verizon Wireless will launch the Casio G’zOne Ravine 2, which is a successor to the previously released Casio G’zOne Ravine. This new rugged handset features a 3.2-megapixel AutoFocus digital camera with LED flash and video recording, VZNavigator (GPS navigation), dual displays, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). What’s more, the Ravine 2 comes pre-installed with Casio’s Gz’Gear software that provides a compass, data on the phases of the moon, tides, pedometer, sunrise/sunset, and the night sky. Verizon Wireless will release the Casio G’zOne Ravine 2 on November 17th, 2011 for $149.99 with a new two-year contract agreement. [TFTS]

NEC Casio Mobile has officially confirmed the availability of the MEDIAS N-04C in Japan via Docomo. Available in black or white, the MEDIAS N-04C comes jam packed with a 4-inch (854 x 480) LCD touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, the Google Android 2.2 OS (with an update coming this summer), a 5.1-megapixel CMOS camera, a 1Seg digital TV tuner, an e-wallet function (NFC), 3G/GSM roaming, a microSDHC card slot, an infrared communication and the standard Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Word has it that the Casio Brigade C741 is now available in various Verizon retail stores, although there is no official announcement from Verizon so far.
