
MSV is giving a sneak peek at a new MSV prototype as an upcoming model for the L-Series. It features a satellite / cellular hybrid system a 480 x 320 multi-touch screen, wifi and an integrated camera. No word on a price and you may have to wait a year or two to get it. [Engadget]

Nokia is making some cell phones that are both economy friendly and cheaper and the first to make the list is the Nokia 5000 candybar phone. The 5000 features a high-res QVGA display with a 1.3 megapixel camera, an MP3 player with recording functionality and FM radio, bluetooth connectivity, GPRS, and supports Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging. The Nokia 5000 cell phone will ship on the 2nd quarter for $140. [Nokia]

Panasonic has announced that they will be making a new low-voltage (1.5v) plasma technology which will enhance the OLED displays in brightness, thinness, and contrast and can be manufactured for less. These new plasma displays in cellphones will be used with AT&T’s Mobile TV service, gas pumps, ATMs, and on HP printers with an exclusive 2-year deal. [Prnewswire]

Here’s a luxurious Louis Vutton phone called the Louis V2. It has a 1.8-inch with 240×320 display, 1.3-megapixel camera, bluetooth, microSD slot and support playback for MP3 and MP4 and runs on a GSM 900 / 1800 network. The LOUIS V2 is available for $182. Kyrocera will release the new Neo E1100 which features a 1.3 megapixel camera, an internal 262k color display, flush keypad, bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, speakerphone, voice recognition, MP3 playback, and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Motorola will be carrying the Motorola Z9 which is going for about $150 (after $50 on-line discount and 2-yr contract) that now has TeleNav service or AT&T Navigator, a microSD expansion, stereo bluetooth, and quad-band GSM with WCDMA 850/1900 supporting 3.6Mbps HSDPA data and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
