
The Samsung SCH-W880 is claimed as “the world’s first 12MP camera phone with a 3x optical zoom.” The handset also features a 6x digital zoom with auto focus, an image stabilization, a face detection, a Xenon flash and 720p video recording at 30fps. Still remember the LG BL20 Chocolate that we posted last week? LG today confirmed the handset. According to LG’s own website, the slider will be available very soon for about €269 ($393). The LG BL20 Chocolate features a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with 262k colors (240 × 320 resolution), a 5MP shooter with Autofocus and LED flash, a built-in FM radio, and a media player that supports WMA, AMR, MIDI, AAC, AAC+, MP3, 3GP. Orange UK and Apple have reached an agreement to release iPhone 3G and 3GS to Orange UK customers later this year. In case you didn’t know, Orange has the largest 3G network covering more people in the UK than any other operator. Orange haven’t confirmed on price plans or exact date. We will keep you posted. US Cellular’s has released two new handsets from Samsung in the form of the Samsung Trill and Caliber. The Samsung r520 Trill is the music-oriented slider that features Bang & Olufsen’s ICEpower signal processing and a 1GB of onboard memory, which is expandable up to 33GB. Meanwhile, the Samsung r850 Caliber is a full-touch piece with a 3.2-inch WQVGA display, TouchWiz, a 3-megapixel camera with video capture, and full HTML browsing. Vertu has finally released their first clamshell handset for the mass market. The Vertu Constellation F Ayxta features GPS, 3G HSDPA, a MicroSD card support, a 3MP camera with dual LED flash, and City Brief that provides “restaurant recommendations, the latest exhibitions, shopping guides and important cultural etiquette tips.” The Ayxta was made from expensive materials including stainless steel, ceramic, leather, sapphire crystal (for the display) and aerospace grade aluminum parts.
