Nokia will launch three new CDMA handsets for the Chinese market. This includes the Nokia 6316s, Nokia 3806 and Nokia 1506. The 6316s has a 2.2-inch display with 320×240 resolution, a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.1 support. Available in black, gold and red, this slider phone is the most advanced device that supports for China Telecom’s 3G data network, a built-in GPS receiver and media playback with dedicated controls.
The Nokia 3806 is a candybar phone that provides 3G data network support, a 2.2-inch display with 320×240 resolution, a 2-megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.1 support. Available in black, white and gold, the handset has a memory card slot allowing users to add up to 4GB of storage space. What makes the Nokia 3806 unique is that it has the integrated Health Assistant providing advice on issues like stress.
Available in black and plum, the Nokia 1506 is an entry-level CDMA handset that boasts a voice recorder, a handsfree speaker and long battery life. Both the Nokia 6316s and the Nokia 3806 will be released in the first quarter of 2010. Meanwhile, the Nokia 1506 will be available later this year. No info on pricing of these cell phones so far. NTT DoCoMo has expanded its cell phone series by releasing the Fujitsu F-10B. Measuring 114mm x 51mm x 17.3mm and weighing 141grams, this clamshell handset provides a 3.4 inch touchscreen display with a VGA resolution allowing you to write something on pictures and send text messages faster. The phone also supports a 12-megapixel camera with face recognition, Autofocus and a 6.2X super zoom. Other features include GPS, Dolby Mobile for 5.1 channel surround output, HSDPA and GSM for international roaming. The cool factor of the Fujitsu F-10B is that it supports IPX5/7/8 waterproof standards, so you can use it up to 1.5 meters underwater. Sadly, there is no info on pricing so far. More
T-Mobile will launch the new entry-level clamshell phone from Nokia namely the Nokia 3711. The cell phone comes jam packed with a 2-megapixel shooter, Bluetooth, an FM radio, GPS, a microSD card expansion and a QVGA display. The Nokia 3711 will be available for $69.99 on an Even More contract after rebate or $159.99 on Even More Plus plan. T-Mobile’s AWS 3G is also included. [T-Mobile]
Samsung has finally launched the company’s first Windows Mobile-powered handset in Japan. Known as the Softbank X01SC, the phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 with a full QWERTY keyboard, a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, a 2.4-inch display at QVGA resolution, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Sony Ericsson today released the latest promotional video of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. In case you didn’t know, this new smartphone comes jam packed with a 4-inch touchscreen capacitive display with WVGA (800×480) resolution, an 8-megapixel shooter with Autofocus, LED flash, image stabilizers, smile and face detection, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g. Some folks at WireFly have posted an unboxing video of the Sprint Palm Pixi. As a reminder, the phone features a 2.63-inch (320×400) touchscreen display with a 2MP fixed-focus camera with LED flash, a full QWERTY keypad, and access to the Palm Beta App Catalog, which includes entertainment and social networking applications like Yelp and Local Concerts by iLike.
