Motorola has announced their newest smartphone ‘MT716 Extreme Smart’ which is made especially for China Mobile. Powered by a 600MHz TI OMAP3430 processor, the handset is packed with a 3.7-inch 480 x 854 capacitive touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash, a side-slide QWERTY keyboard, a 512MB RAM, a 512MB of internal memory, a microSD/SDHC card slot (up to 32GB), 720p HD video recording capabilities, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on OPhone OS 2.0 (variant of Android 2.1). Sony Ericsson has collaborated with China Mobile to release the new Sony Ericsson A8i. The smartphone is fully support China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network. The handset comes equipped with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera with a 4x digital zoom and a LED flash, CMMB mobile TV and Wi-Fi connection. Measuring 117mm x 59mm x 14mm and weighing 136 grams, the Sony Ericsson A8i also has a 200MB of internal storage, which is upgradable via a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). Its battery provides enough juice for up to 7-hour of talk time and up to 260-hour of standby time. [Press Release]

RIM BlackBerry Curve 8910 For China Mobile

China Mobile is ready to launch the BlackBerry Curve 8910 that uses an optical trackpad, instead of an ordinary trackball. The Chinese version of BlackBerry Curve 8910 is similar to the original Curve 8900. The smartphone runs on BlackBerry OS 5 and features a 3.2MP digital camera on the back. What’s more, the handset apparently features something called Evolved-EDGE, which is apparently designed to squeeze as much speed as technologically possible from a 2G connection. The Dell Mini 3T1 will be released in China via China Mobile. The handset features TD-SCDMA connectivity and has China Mobile’s logo above its display. Nokia's First TD-SCDMA Phone For China Mobile

Nokia will released their first TD-SCDMA cell phone for China Mobile in December 2009. Dubbed as the Nokia 6788, the handset was inspired by traditional Chinese furniture and architecture. It comes with Chinese design elements that comprise of traditional Chinese patterns on the back of the slide and the battery cover. The Nokia 6788 uses Symbian’s Series 60 OS and supports a 2.8 inch display (QVGA), a 5MP camera with Autofocus and a microSD expansion. Stay tuned for more updates. [Coolest Gadgets]

Samsung Omnia II i8180 To Be Released Via China Mobile

Samsung will launch a new version of the Omnia II i8000 for China Mobile. Dubbed as the Samsung i8180 Chai or Samsung i8180c, the handset is powered by Windows Mobile OS and a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display. The phone also has China-specific features including WAPI, TD-SCDMA connectivity and CMMB (China Multimedia Mobile Broadcasting).
