Samsung is ready to release a new clamshell handset in South Korea. Known as the Samsung SHW-A310, the phone is actually a successor to the Samsung SHW-A300. The new cell phone features a 3-inch (400×240) WQVGA display, a 3MP digital camera and a Hyperskin body to give the phone extra grip and protection. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, T-DMB, a front-facing VGA camera and a 1000mAh battery. The Samsung SHW-A310 will be available via SKT. [SammyHub]
Sharp will release the AQUOS Hybrid 007SH, which is known as the first Android clamshell phone. The handset features a 16-megapixel rear camera that is able to record 720p videos, 3D videos and capture 3D photos. The AQUOS Hybrid 007SH also has a 3.4-inch WVGA 3D New Mobile ASV touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a IPX5/IPX7 waterproof body. Pricing info is still unknown. [Akihabara]
AT&T has just announced another simple clamshell phone from Nokia namely the Nokia 6350. Coming in two color options, either red or graphite, the handset offers a 2MP camera, external music keys, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Video Share, a web browser, email, a 4 hour battery and HSDPA connectivity. The Nokia 6350 will be available at AT&T retail stores and online from October 4th for a price tag of $29.99 with a 2-year contract agreement. More
The Sony Ericsson T707 will be released by T-Mobile USA as Sony Ericsson Equinox. The phone features a scratch-resistant LCD display, Stereo Bluetooth, picture messaging, a 3.2MP camera and a “fashionable pulse light.” This clamshell phone should be on sale via T-Mobile starting on October 28th, 2009 for around $100 with a contract agreement for 2-years. Canadian wireless carrier, Fido has recently launched another entry-level phone from LG namely the GB250. This clamshell phone offers a 2-inch 176 x 220 pixels internal display, a 1.3MP camera with video capture ability, a microSD card slot (up to 4GB), an MP3 player, an FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity.
