
Samsung’s A717 / A727 Multimedia Clamshell are said to be the “world’s slimmest 3G phones” offered through AT&T. The Samsung A717 provides 2.0MP shooter while the Samsung A727 offers 1.3MP camera. The Samsung E210 clamshell phone is loaded with functions including email capability, Web access, QWERTY keyboard, 16.5mm-thin, 1.3MP camera, monochrome external display, 65K color OLED screen, 176×144/15 fps video capture, 10MB of Internal memory with microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. The GSM phone also offers GPRS class 10 connectivity. It will be available in Europe for $200.

If you’re looking for a new 3G handset, then can check out Pantech’s clamshell C710, which will be released this summer. This black clamshell phone provides UMTS data on both 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, but unfortunately it is tuned in to North America’s GSM frequencies only. The phone also sports an internal and external TFT LCD display, a 1.3MP camera, dual speakers, Bluetooth with A2DP stereo support, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion options.
