Here we present Bamboo, a cell phone concept designed as an environmental-friendly phone. Its casing is made of bio-plastic made of recyclable natural resources like corn and Bamboo, so when harvested can grow back after time. The beauty of this phone is that if you decide you don’t want it anymore, you can bury it in compost so that seeds are released and grow into new plants. The Bamboo also comes with an energy-efficient monochrome display, and a hand-crack to re-charge the device. Check out a more detailed pic after the jump. [Mobilewhack] More

The Soft Phone concept is made up of a series of discs with electronic fabric stretched in between enabling gestures for functions like squeezing to hang up. It contains fibers that are both thin and clear allowing light energy to pass through and display the menu. When you need to text a fast message all you have to do is unroll the collapsible structure. Other features include an antenna, battery, camera and micro-electronics with a tiny clip of soft, squeezable, silica. [Yanko]

Nokia has just developed its Morph concept handset created by people from the University of Cambridge. The Morph is based on nanotechnology developments and has a detachable speaker that either clips onto the ear as a headset or connects to the main phone as a speaker. The phone uses nanotechnology to provide a touch screen display that is both translucent and flexible. The Morph is supposedly going to be dropping in the next seven years, hopefully this rumor is true. Watch the video after the jump to see what it’s like. [Electronista] More

The Edge concept phone by Chris Owens features an etched glass keypad with LEDs and a camera. To answer any incoming calls all you have to do is slide the glass keyboard out. The embedded LED creates a glowing affect lighting up the glass when you get a call. The Edge also features microphone wiring that functions as a keyboard border. All I have to say is awesome! Here’s a concept for a possible Alienware cell phone that could be produced by Dell’s Alienware division. It would feature some nice gaming options, and would run on Google’s Android platform. Dell would produce it under the Alienware banner because let’s face it, Dell Computers aren’t exactly trendy. More
