
The Acer Liquidmini Ferrari Edition smartphone has been unveiled at the IFA 2011. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the handset features a 600MHz CPU, a 512MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch HVGA multitouch capacitive screen, and a 5MP digital camera. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 8GB. No word on pricing at this time. [Newlaunches]

Inspired by Ferrari, the new Vertu Ascent Ferrari GT is made of a forged titanium with a matte black PVD finish with red and black hand sewn leather of the same source as Ferrari’s interiors. Motorola in collaboration with Ferrari have released the Motorola i9 Ferrari edition in Brazil via Nextel. This special edition clamshell phone features the Ferrari logo engraved on its case along with Ferrari wallpapers and screensavers. It also offers two QVGA displays, a 3.1MP camera, external illuminated keys, push-to-talk service, GPS, Bluetooth and a 2GB memory card in the box. Vertu has joined together with Ferrari to release the new Ascent Ti mobile phone collection. The new Ascent Ti consists of the Nero, Rosso and Giallo. The limited edition Nero handset boasts the titanium casing with crystal sapphire pillows and has the scratch-proof PVD to make it more durable. The special edition Rosso and Giallo also feature the PVD-coated keyboards and battery covers, and ceramic pillows.
As a reminder, the Vertu Ascent Ti supports Quad-band GSM/EDGE with WCDMA 2100 and features the Stainless steel keys and sapphire crystal screen, with Bluetooth connectivity, a 3MP camera with autofocus and flash, and 4GB internal memory.
