Nokia has released a new firmware update for its QWERTY keyboard-equipped E75 smartphone. This is a must-install firmware for all Nokia E75 owners. The firmware update version 201.12.01 provides several improvements, including:
- Integrated Ovi Contacts
- New shortcuts in Applications folder – Facebook, YouTube and MySpace
- Calendar speed improvements and synchronisation bug fixes
- Updated clients: N-Gage, Share Online, Nokia Messaging
- Contacts speed improvements
- Web update to next-gen browser, v7.1, which is faster
- Overall UI speed improvements
- Quickoffice updated to v5.3, with Office 2007 support (v6.0 is a free upgrade within the app)

Sprint is reportedly working on a new firmware update for the Hero. This new update is said to fix the problems concerning daylight savings time correction and SMS issues, and will still be using the same Android 1.5-based core. Nokia has launched the firmware update version 11.0.054 for Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, which is only a minor update. The new firmware delivers a smoother home screen to the handset. In case you didn’t know, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a music phone that has a 2.9-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display with 640 x 360 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 70MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, Symbian S60 5.0 OS and supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity. Nokia has released firmware updates for Nokia E63, E66, E71, N96 smartphones. The updated firmware for E63 (v200.21.012), E66 (v300.21.012) and E71 (v300.21.012) handsets includes a new version of Nokia messaging and Hotmail application, and improved HTML support. The Nokia N96 update (version 30.033) will add a Facebook app and improved ringtone audio levels. You can update your handset via Nokia Software Updater (available via Nokia PC Suite). The latest firmware update for the Nokia N97 portable cellphone-computer will be available for download on July 4th, 2009.
