Samsung today announced a new edition of the popular F480 touchscreen phone, which is known as the Samsung TouchWiz F488i. The phone features an upgraded “3x TouchWiz User Interface”, which includes Shortcut Pages and Extended Desktop, a 240 x 400 pixels LCD display, GSM and HSDPA connectivity, document viewer and a 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash. LG KC910 Renoir Mobile Phone Officially Released

LG has officially released the LG Renoir this week. This “artistic handset” comes with several innovative features. It is actually the first phone in the world that features Dolby Mobile, an integrated suite of audio processing technologies that will bring Dolby quality sound to your handset.

This handset also boasts TouchShot feature that allows you to focus on an object by touching it on the phone’s screen. The shutter will fire automatically when you lift your finger off the screen. The LG KC910 Renoir Mobile Phone is able to take high quality pictures with its 8MP digital camera with Xenon flash, Schneider-Kreuznach lens, auto or manual focus, face, smile and blink detection and digital image stabilization.

Other features of this Quad band GSM and UMTS (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps) handset including WQVGA 240×400 touchscreen display, Homescreen Widgets (including online widgets that pull down real-time data), Picture-Based Speed Dial, VGA video capture up to 30fps and QVGA capture up to 120 fps, DivX and XviD video support, integrated GPS with support for geotagging and location based services, TV Out, and Bluetooth 2.0/ WiFi connectivity.

TechFaith Wireless Releases Twins Phone

Chinese TechFaith Wireless has released the Twins phone which is the “first WCDMA/GSM dual mode phone” in the world. The phone allows users to load one WCDMA card and one GSM card or to load dual GSM SIM cards. The Twin phone is available in two versions; the “Dragonfly” and “OMAP”, with the latter having a faster CPU and tri-band network support instead of quad-band. The handset has a 2MP shooter, a 2.8 inch touch sensitive TFT LCD display, 256MB RAM, 64MB ROM, integrated MP3 and MPEG4 playback, a WCDMA modem, Bluetooth connectivity and video call support. There is no info on when this mobile phone will be available in the States.
