The third Android smartphone from HTC namely the HTC Hero has been officially unveiled. This new smartphone runs on Android 1.5 OS and features a 3.2-inch fingerprint-resistant touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, a 5MP camera with autofocus, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, Google Maps, Google Streetview and various other Google apps / services, GPS, WiFi, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports GSM as well as HSDPA connectivity. Here are some leaked pictures of HTC’s upcoming Hero smartphone. According to Code Android, the Hero, aka G3, will be released probably in Q3 this year. As seen from the pictures, this new Android smartphone comes without a trackball, but in addition it features a 3.5mm headset jack. Sadly, no other information is given at the moment.
