The Telus HTC Touch Pro2 is now available at Best Buy for CAD$249.99 (US$230). In case you didn’t know, the smartphone features a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2MP shooter with auto-focus, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a microSD (HC) card slot, an FM radio with RDS and a 528Mhz Qualcomm CPU. The highly anticipated HTC Hero that we mentioned back in June will soon make its way to Orange UK starting tomorrow, July 22. In case you missed it, here’s a brief reminder, the HTC Hero is the company’s third Android handset that sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen display with 320 x 480 resolution, a 5MP autofocus camera, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, GPS, WiFi and supports HSDPA connectivity. It will be available in an exclusive graphite color version for free on select plans. More
According to some sources, HTC is working on a new smartphone called the HTC Leo, which is likely to be some sort of a clamshell phone. It’s said that the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an internal WVGA (480 x 800) display with 16:9 aspect ratio, an external QVGA display and supports Open GL 2.0. HTC is also rumored to release some other smartphones including Click (an Android-powered smartphone), Mega and Rome. Sadly, there’s no word on release date yet. Word has it that Sprint is currently performing internal tests on not one but two Android handsets, and will both be available by next year. The first handset is the HTC Hero, which was announced earlier this week alongside a new UI called Sense, and apparently will be ready before the end of 2009. Meanwhile, the second Android device is the Samsung CDMA/WiMax hybrid. Stay tuned for more updates. [PhoneNews]

This new smartphone runs on Android 1.5 OS and features a 3.2-inch fingerprint-resistant touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, a 5MP camera with autofocus, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, Google Maps, Google Streetview and various other Google apps / services, GPS, WiFi, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports GSM as well as HSDPA connectivity.
