
Word has it that the 8GB Apple iPhone 3GS will be available via AT&T network just before Christmas for $99. A cheaper iPhone 3GS can replace the current $99 8GB iPhone 3G, offering potential buyers a faster processor, a bigger RAM, a digital compass and a better 3.2-megapixel camera capable of video recording. Apple has launched the jailbreak resistant iPhone 3GS to encounter the handset being jailbroken. iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd has confirmed that Apple are shipping the iPhone 3GS with a bootrom update, iBoot-359.3.2, which will make jailbreaking the handset “impossible”.
