
iRiver will release the Vanilla Android smartphone in the South Korean market via LG U+. The handset comes jam packed with a 3.5-inch multitouch display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, the Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, a 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage space, and a 5-megapixel AutoFocus camera. LG in collaboration with iRiver are set to unleash a new music phone for the Korean market called the LG-LB4400. Specs-wise, the handset will sport a 2.8-inch 240 x 480 AMOLED touchscreen display, a 3-megapixel camera, a DMB TV tuner, Dolby Surround Mobile and support a wide range of audio formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, APE, FLAC, AAC as well as AAC+. Good news for those who are living in South Korea. iRiver will release the Wave Home in the Korean market via KT. This communications device has been introduced at CES 2009. Phone capability comes from a removable handset plopped into its back. Video conferencing is courtesy of a 1.3MP shooter in the top.
