Sprint and Kyocera Communications have proudly introduced the first dual-touchscreen Android smartphone, the Kyocera Echo. This Android-powered smartphone features two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen displays connected by a patent-pending “pivot hinge” that enables the two displays to operate independently, side-by-side or combined to form an oversized 4.7-inch (diagonally) integrated display. In its closed position, the Kyocera Echo is a pocket-friendly, single-display smartphone. When opened, the Echo reveals a revolutionary new platform for wireless multitasking and provides users a new level of versatility in Android. Cricket has just announced the availability of Kyocera’s newest touchscreen phone ‘Rio‘ on their network. First introduced back in August, the Kyocera Rio packs a 2.8-inch 240 x 320 touchscreen display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), an optical trackpad, a music player, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports for tri-band CDMA 1x network. Cricket has recently launched a new Android smartphone on their network namely the Sanyo ZIO by Kyocera. The handset boasts a 3.5-inch 400 x 800 capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 3G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Android 1.6 OS.
