
LG has officially confirmed that the LG BL40 Touch Chocolate will be available for purchase on the European market starting mid-September 2009. In case you didn’t know, the new LG Chocolate features a 4-inch wide screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio, support for 7.2 HSDPA for fast Internet browsing with the elimination of side scrolling due to the wider screen, a panoramic multimedia experience, the Dual Screen UI (shows two types of content at the same time), simplified touchscreen navigation, one-touch copy and paste, a wide range of personalization options through wallpapers, themes and ringtones, a slim shape with glossy black finish, as well as a smooth, elegant surface provided by the curved scratch-resistant glass encasing the device. U.S. Cellular is set to launch another messaging phone from LG namely the LG Bliss. This new handset is packed with a large 3-inch touchscreen display, a 2MP camera with video recording, a full QWERTY onscreen keyboard, a music player, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), a full HTML browser and E-mail Client with new message notifications and Bluetooth connectivity. Vodafone and LG have joined together to release the LG GM750, a new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone that should become available across Europe starting October 6th, 2009. The phone is actually an upgraded version of the LG GM730. The handset comes jam packed with a 3-inch touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels, Wi-Fi, 3G, Microsoft My Phone, Windows Live, a 5MP camera, and LG’s S-Class 3D UI. [Press Release]

Orange will start selling the LG Touchscreen Watchphone (LG-GD910) in the UK via its Bond Street Station shop on Thursday, 27th August. Available for a limited time only (first-come-first-serve), consumers will be able to purchase the phone for just £500. The watchphone features a scratch resistant touch-screen interface that makes writing text messages easy. Other specs include a built-in speaker, and an MP3/AAC player. LG Electronics will release two full touchscreen handsets namely the L-06A and L-04A in Japan via NTT DoCoMo on August 20th, 2009. Both cell phones feature LG’s “Live Character Park” UI, a swiveling touch panel, a 5.1MP camera, a MicroSD external memory, and HSUPA(High Speed Uplink Packet Access) service. The “G” button on the keypad provides users a one-touch connection to Google’s business directory. The LG L-06A comes in three different colors including white, black and red, meanwhile the LG L-04A is available in white, yellow, silver and pink. [AVING]
