Meizu MX Smartphone

The Meizu MX Android smartphone has a powerful specification such as a 1.4GHz dual-core processor with a 1GB of RAM, a 16GB of internal storage, a 4-inch (960 x 640) ASV display, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD recording, a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls and HSPA+ support. The smartphone is equipped with the Flyme OS, which is Meizu’s heavily customized Android 2.3.5. The Meizu MX smartphone will be released in China on January 1st, 2012 for 2,999 Yuan ($470). [Meizu]

Meizu M9II Picture And Specs Unveiled

Word has it that Meizu is already working on a new phone, the Meizu M9II. The phone is slated to be released in late 2011. The Meizu M9II comes jam packed with a 4-inch display that features a 1280 x 854 or 1200 x 900 pixel resolution, a 1GB of RAM/ROM, a dual-core A9 processor and a 16GB of built-in flash memory. Meizu M9 Release Date

Meizu has finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated Meizu M9. This handset is currently slated to go on sale on August 18th for around $350 each. As a reminder, the Android-powered M9 features a 1GHz Cortex A8-based Samsung S5PC110 CPU, a 512MB RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, TV-out, a microSD card expansion, a 3.6-inch screen with 720 x 480 resolution, an HDMI 1.3 output, WCDMA, CDMA and TD-SCDMA. Measuring 59.5mm x 113mm x 11mm, the Meizu M9 will be available in two versions, the M9w 3G WCDMA and M9t 3G TD-SCDMA China Telecom version. [ChiniTech]

Meizu M9 Will Use Android 2.1 OS

Meizu CEO Jack Wong today confirmed that the Meizu M9 handset will adopt Android 2.1. The phone will be launched with a customized version of Android 2.1 on board. Meizu Releases M8 Firmware Update

The Meizu M8 is also known as the “Chinese iPhone” because it has a similar design with the iPhone. Meizu has recently released the final firmware version for this handset. The new firmware claims to improve stability, have better English, and emulate Windows Mobile 6 apps. Measuring 108mm x 59mm x 12mm, the Meizu M8 is powered by the Samsung ARM11 667 MHz CPU, a 3.4-inch (720 x 480 pixel) LTPS TFT LCD with multitouch (2 points).
