MetroPCS has launched another messaging phone from Samsung namely the Samsung Messager III r570. This new handset packs a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a full horizontal slideout QWERTY keyboard, an alphanumeric keypad, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), a music player, updated social networking features, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports both CDMA (1×800 MHz/1900 MHz) and AWS Band (1700/2100 MHz) networks. The Motorola GRASP WX404 is now available in the US market via MetroPCS. This entry-level QWERTY phone features a 2.2-inch display at 220 x 176 resolution, a CDMA/EVDO/AWS 3G radio, a 1.3-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth A2DP, an Email client, a music player and a microSD memory card slot. The phone’s 950mAH battery provides up to 5.3-hour of talk time or up to 17.9-day of standby time. What’s more, the device is “BFR and PCV free with a housing that is 100% recyclable at end of life,” making it also an eco-friendly choice. No word on pricing so far. [Press Release]
MetroPCS has launched the Motorola VE440 Mister Cartoon edition, which is actually a remake of the previously released VE440. The new Motorola VE440 comes with two interchangeable back covers designed by Mister Cartoon, who also designed the case for the Samsung Messager Mister Cartoon edition. In case you didn’t know, the handset comes jam packed with exclusive wallpapers and ringtones, a 1GB memory card that contains two unreleased Snoop Dogg tracks, a 176 x 220 pixels display, GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack, dedicated music keys, stereo Bluetooth and a 1.3MP camera. MetroPCS has recently launched its first touchscreen from Samsung known as the Caliber R860. Specs-wise, the handset is equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP camera with flash, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), a full HTML web browser, GPS with MetroNavigator, email, social networking integration (Facebook, MySpace), Bluetooth, a 1080 mAh battery and supports CDMA (1×800/1900 MHz) connectivity. This new candybar phone features a 1.7-inch 128 x 160 CSTN display, an easy-to-use interface, Icon Carousel (with One Touch Messaging, One Touch Speakerphone and One Touch Calendar), Bluetooth and a set of MetroPCS applications including MetroWEB Internet Access, Metro 411 Directory Assistance, MetroBACKUP, mail@metro Unlimited E-mail and My Metro Account Manager.
