RotateMe for Nokia N95 will be released at the end of November. This software will allow the users to switch their N95 to landscape mode. AT&T and Samsung have announced the availability of the Samsung SGH-a737. Priced at $49.99 after a two-year contract activation agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate, the handset is currently available through selected AT&T retail locations. The phone features the Video Share, AT&T Mobile Music, stereo Bluetooth 2.0 technology, a 1.3MP shooter with video record, external memory microSD cards up to 4GB and advanced messaging options. The mobile phone is available in black/orange, black/blue, black/red and black/lime.
Psion Teklogix launched the iKon PDA / smartphone that has a 3.7-inch VGA display, an integrated camera, built-in GPS, GSM / GPRS / UMTS connectivity options, Bluetooth, WiFi, a barcode scanner and your choice of Windows Mobile 6 Classic / Professional or CE.net 5. The smartphone will be released in December.
QuickSilver unveiled its new mobile phone concept which looks like PacMan. The handset comes equipped with a QVGA display, GPRS and EDGE connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, and a USB port. There is no info on whether this concept phone will go into mass production or not.
Samsung and Adidas have joined together to produce the Samsung F110 Adidas Phone. This 2.5G slider phone comes equipped with a 2-inch QVGA screen, 2MP digicam, FM radio and MP3 player. The mobile phone also features a heartbeat monitor, pedometer and some dedicated sports applications. The Adidas Phone will be launched in November.
The owner of the device will mainly not use the internet and e-mail while playing sports. However, the device can still handle this. Small disadvantage here is that quick dataconnections will not be possible with this device, this because the device is only a quad-band EDGE phone. In some European countries this means that data connections can only be made with GPRS.
The Audiphone is a mobile phone from Audi that comes with an MP3 Player and NAV System. The mobile phone is able to start your car, find your vehicle in a crowded car park, or take some photos. There is no further info on this mobile phone. Stay tuned for more updates.
