Nokia has launched the firmware update version 11.0.054 for Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, which is only a minor update. The new firmware delivers a smoother home screen to the handset. In case you didn’t know, the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a music phone that has a 2.9-inch TFT resistive touchscreen display with 640 x 360 resolution, a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash, a 70MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, Symbian S60 5.0 OS and supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity. The Nokia 8208 has been approved by the FCC. The CDMA phone was announced earlier this year. It features a dual-slide form factor, and supports MP3 music player, 3MP camera with 6X digital zoom and video recorder, and 150MB internal storage with 16GB microSD card support. LG today announced not one but three new music phones in Korea. The LG GM310, GM210 and GM205 feature Dolby Mobile and LG’s latest Sound Engine for sound output enhancements. LG has decided to launch these handsets in Mexico, Asia, Brazil and Latin America. All of these mucis phones have convenient music buttons for quick access to music player control and USB connector for easy file transfer.
