T-Mobile Garminfone Release Date Unveiled

T-Mobile has unveiled the release date for the Garminfone. The handset will be available on June 9th, 2010 at select T-Mobile retail stores, authorized dealers and online. This Android-powered handset will retail for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and bundled with a two-year service agreement and qualifying voice and data plan. As a reminder, the T-Mobile Garminfone is powered by a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a microSD card (up to 32GB), Android 1.6 with the ability for over-the-air updates. Garmin ASUS Nuvifone A10 Navigation Phone Is Now Official

Garmin ASUS has officially announced the Nuvifone A10, which is targeted at pedestrian navigation users. This Android-powered smartphone comes equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera with Geotagging support, a 1,500mAh battery, and Microsoft Exchange support. The Nuvifone A10 will be released in Europe and Asia Pacific mid this year. No word on pricing so far. [Garmin]

Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition With Lifetime Navigation

The new handset comes bundled with lifetime WALK navigation and voice-guided DRIVE licenses. Sony Ericsson today introduced a new GPS-enabled phone namely the Sony Ericsson U10i. The UMTS HSPA phone comes jam packed with an 8.1MP digital camera with flash, a slide-out keypad, a microSD cards for storage expansions, a full touch screen display, Bluetooth, and a 1000mAh removable battery. Point-I Detachable GPS Recievers for Cell Phones

A Korean manufacturer Point-I is supposedly working on the “TocToc” GPS, an add-on that would provide the same kind of functionality offered by onboard GPS receivers with map support.
