
The FCC has approved the Pharos Traveler 117. It is a GPS navigator that will be released in the US. This PDA smartphone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and 400MHz Qualcomm MSM7201 processor. The gadget also offers Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), Tri band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity (850/1900/2100 MHz), a 2.8 inch resistive TFT touchscreen display with 480 x 640 pixels, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 2MP camera. Lenovo today unveiled its new Lenovo P990 GPS phone. This slider phone sports GSM 900/1800, 3 inch display(240 x 320 resolution), SiRFStar III GPS chipset, 3-core CPU, microSD memory card slot, and a 2MP shooter. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing so far. [NaviGadget]

Airis will be releasing the new T482 GPS phone in France. The Airis T482 will feature quad-band GSM support, GPRS / EDGE connectivity, a 416MHz Marvell PXA270 processor, 64MB of RAM, a 3.2-inch QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera and a microSD expansion slot. Additional features include a SiRFStar III GPS receiver, bluetooth 2.0, 802.11b/g WiFi, FM tuner and a rechargeable Li-ion. Nokia will release the N800 internet tablet with WiMAX support early next year. This mobile phone will contain an integrated GPS chip unlike earlier models which were navigation capable but did not integrated its own GPS.
