
Japanese NTTDoCoMo has released the NEC N906i clamshell phone with a 5.2MP sensor and a smile detection. Its 3 inch VGA (640 x 480) display screen is perfect for watching videos or web browsing. Other features includes HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Yamaha audio chip for crisp and clear sound, Micro SD card slot and support for majority of audio and video formats. NEC wiill release the NEC N905i for the Japanese market under NTT DoCoMo. NEC unveiled its LiMo handset called the N705iμ during the Mobile World Congress 2008. It features a 3-inch display with 240 x 427(WQVGA) resolution and 2-megapixel camera with support for a HSDPA network and comes with 190 minutes of continuous calling. Unfortunately there hasn’t been a price or release date for this phone yet. [AVING]

The NEC N905i from NTT DoCoMo works on GSM and W-CDMA frequencies. The handset comes jam packed with a 3 inch internal display with a 480×854 resolution, a monochrome external display for caller ID, and supports for HSDPA and GPS. What makes this phone cool is its 5MP digital camera with face detection that can detect 3 persons simultaneously. This camera can record video in H.264 format in VGA resolution at 30 fps. The clamshell also adopts Yamaha sound engine for enhanced audio playback. Available in red, black, white and pink, the NEC N905i will be available in Japan later this month.

Nec has rolled out its new ultra slim phone, the Foma N703iμ, which comes equipped with a 1.3MP camera and a privacy angle screen to prevent unwanted person from viewing your phone activity. This 11.4mm thin 3G phone has 49 LEDs on the cover which displays icons for different phone alerts such as incoming calls, emails, sms, etc.
