O2 has announced the availability of the HTC HD2 on their cell phone network in the UK. This Windows Mobile 6.5-powered smartphone is available for free, although you will have to sign a contract agreement for at least 18-months and pay £45 monthly. The HTC HD2 features a 4.3-inch EVGA touchscreen display with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HTC’s custom Sense UI, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus. O2 UK has recently announced the availability of the Sony Ericsson Naite on their network. In case you didn’t know, the Naite is an eco-friendly candybar phone that is made from recycled and recyclable materials. The phone features a QVGA display, an HSPA connectivity, stereo Bluetooth, a 2MP shooter, and a MicroSD card support (up to 8GB). The Sony Ericsson Naite is free on selected pay monthly tariffs and £97.86 ($155) on Pay & Go. [Press Release]
O2 has recently announced that the new iPhone 3G S handset will go on sale on Friday June 19th, 2009 in O2, Apple and Carphone Warehouse retail stores. The iPhone 3G S will be available from free on a variety of 18 and 24 month Pay Monthly tariffs with unlimited UK web browsing on the O2 network and Wi-Fi. It will also be available on Pay & Go with unlimited UK web browsing and Wi-Fi for the first 12 months. See the price list after the jump. More
The O2 XDA Flint has been rumored months ago and now it makes an appearance at the O2’s site. The gadget features a 5 inch touchscreen display at VGA resolution, 624MHz processor, quadband and HSDPA connectivity, ATi graphics chip, 3MP camera, 16GB flash memory, Wi-Fi connectivity, Integrated GPS chipset, detachable QWERTY keyboard, and also powered by windows mobile 6.1. Pantech has recently announced that the Cocoon will be available soon through the English operator O2. FYI, the Cocoon is an HSDPA Phone with an original external screen. It’s a pretty hot looking phone, but it won’t be available in the States. Hit the jump to read the list of specifications.

The O2 Cocoon features FM radio alarm clock and has a 3.5mm socket. The phone has a 2GB storage that can be doubled to 4GB using the Micro SD slot. The controls for the MP3 player are on the outside. Other specs include Bluetooth A2DP, 2MP shooter with flash and AF plus the ability to handle DRM-free AAC iTunes Plus downloads. The 3G O2 Cocoon phone will be released in the UK in August for $590.
