Palm has finally launched the latest version of WebOS 1.2.1 for the Palm Pre that allows Palm Pre users to sync their Palm Pre with the iTunes 9.0.1. The new Palm WebOS also provides faster display of high-quality full-screen images and enables users to store more photos on the phone. [Palm]

Palm has confirmed the availability of their second WebOS smartphone in the form of the Palm Pixi (previously known as Palm Eos or Palm Pixie). The Pixi also has a rubberized back cover, which is scratch-resistant and durable. The Palm Pixi comes with Palm Synergy, which links your information from Google, Exchange ActiveSync, Facebook, Yahoo! and LinkedIn. Other features include a GPS receiver, a Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and A2DP, a 8GB of storage, and a 3.5mm Jack. Bell customers should be happy to know that Bell is ready to release the Palm Pre. The carrier has recently released a new ad for the smartphone. It seems that Compal Communications, the company that will manufacture the Eos for Palm, is ready to release the entry-level smartphone in October 2009. The Palm Eos will be produced about 400,000 to 500,000 units. Meanwhile, the CDMA version of Eos will be shipped in the first quarter of 2010. Stay tuned for more updates.
