SK Telecom of Korea will release the Pantech Presto touchscreen phone that offers one-touch access to music playback. This music phone also features T-DMB TV tuner, 3G HSPA radio support, Bluetooth connectivity, Memory card slot, and Pre-loaded electronic dictionary. AT&T has officially released the Pantech Slate, which is touted as the “world’s thinnest QWERTY keyboard” handset. It seems that this handset is targeted at messaging junkies who also still want to look in fashion with the latest slim devices. Aside from the full QWERTY keyboard, the Slate also features Bluetooth, video recording, 1.3 megapixel camera, email, instant messaging and support for AT&T’s Media Net. [CNet]

Pantech has unveiled four new concept mobile phones in the form of the “Coralliform Water”, the “Easter Moai”, the “Recy_Q” and the “Softly Lofty”. The “Coralliform Water” is a slider mobile phone that looks like a budding flower, when closed. It seems that the handset has a touchscreen display and a shooter. Meanwhile, the “Easter Moai” features a “wave” touchscreen LCD, a touch key, a dome key and lots of other keys on its sides.
The “Recy_Q” comes equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, touch keys and uses recyclable material for its case and keypad. And finally, the Softy Lofty that doesn’t have display screen. The phone is designed “to offer as much visual and emotional comfort as possible”. [UnWiredView] More

Mobile phone manufacturer Pantech comes back with the dual-slider 3G-enabled handset, the Matrix. The phone is now available in the U.S. via AT&T. The Pantech Matrix provides a full QWERTY keyboard with a numeric keypad and sports dual-band UMTS/HSDPA, a 1.3MP camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and AT&T Navigator service support. Here is good news for our friends in South Korea. Pantech Sky’s latest HSDPA handset is now available in the Korean market. Pantech’s SKY IM-S730 provides a 2.6-inch wide QVGA display, HSDPA, GPS, FM tuner, microSD slot, and a 1.3MP shooter. This slider phone is available exclusively only in Korea.
