
The Pharos 565 is touted as the first rugged PDA in the world that is powered by the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and supports sports the IP54 standard. The gadget comes jam packed with a 3.5-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a GPS support, a 512MB ROM, a 256MB RAM, Office Mobile and a 624MHz Marvell PXA310 processor. RoverPC has recently launched its P7 PDA smartphone which is actually an upgrade version of its predecessor, the P6. The gadget comes equipped with Marvell PXA270 416MHz processor, 2.8 inch touch screen display, GPRS/EDGE connectivity and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Operating System. Asus will be launching a new PDA phone called the P560. It has HSDPA, wifi, 3.2 megapixel autofocus cam, bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, GPS, microSDHC slot, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Professional 6.1. The P560 will be out next month for a price of €500 or $772. [Navigadget]

Datalogic has a new rugged PDA called the Pegaso. What makes this PDA cool is that it features a built-in barcode scanner. Measuring 6.9 inch x 3.2 inch x 1.9 inch and weighing 16.9 ounces, the gadget features Marvell PXA270 520MHz processor, 64MB/128MB of RAM, 128MB of flash memory, 3.6 inch screen display in VGA/QVGA resolutions, GSM/GRPS/EDGE support, 802.11b/g connectivity, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity with CCX v. 4 extensions and an SD memory card slot. PDA fans will surely appreciate the new Sharp PV250 PDA with a swiveling LCD. it features a QWERTY keyboard, a slot for microSD cards and a 1.3-megapixel camera. No word on pricing or availability yet.

China just lucked out because the Blackberry will ship to China soon. Oddly enough China has a low-cost competing service called RedBerry, I wonder if they have as strict copyright laws as the U.S? Guess not.
