
Samsung has recently unveiled two new dual SIM phones in the form of the B5722 (pictured above) and C6112. The B5722 is a touchscreen phone that features a 2.8-inch QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP camera with LED flash, Samsung’s TouchWiz Lite 1.0 UI, dual SIM card slots, a music player, an FM radio, access to Facebook and MySpace, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), a 1200 mAh battery, Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Meanwhile, the C6112 is a slider phone that offers a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, a 2MP camera, dual SIM card slots, a music player, an FM radio with RDS, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), a 960 mAh battery and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity. Samsung has finally launched the company’s first Windows Mobile-powered handset in Japan. Known as the Softbank X01SC, the phone is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 with a full QWERTY keyboard, a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor, a 2.4-inch display at QVGA resolution, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Samsung is set to introduce another one of its slider phone for the Chinese market. Dubbed as the S359, this music phone offers a 2-inch display with 65k colors, a VGA camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), a music player, an FM radio, WAP browser v2.0, 500 SMS storing capacity and works on CDMA 1X 800MHz band. The Samsung SCH-W920 is the latest DMB phone from the Korean giant Samsung. Measuring 12.9mm thin and weighing at only 96grams, the 3G HSPDA phone supports Bluetooth, VOD and MOD, DMB TV, two digital cameras (300k and 3MP), TOEIC and TOEFL tests, an English dictionary, and a siren SOS alarm. Sprint have just announced the availability of Samsung Moment and Sanyo SCP-3810 on their network. In case you’ve forgotten, the Samsung Moment offers an 800MHz processor, a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 3.2MP autofocus camera with flash, a full QWERTY keyboard, an accelerometer sensor, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, WiFi, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports EV-DO Rev A connectivity. The handset retails for $179.99 with a 2-year contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in-rebate. Meanwhile, the Sanyo SCP-3810 is an entry-level clamshell that sports a 2.4-inch QVGA internal display, a 1.3MP camera, web browser, GPS and supports Bluetooth connectivity. Available in either Regal Red or Black Onyx, the Sanyo SCP-3810 is free on contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate. More

Tele Atlas and Samsung have announced an agreement under which Samsung will use Tele Atlas maps for its GPS-enabled devices. Samsung will be able to bundle Tele Atlas’ product with its smartphone with more than 24 million points of interest (POIs), Voice Maps, and visual enhancements such as 3D Landmarks, 2D City Maps and Digital Elevation Models.
The two companies will continue to collaborate to deliver rich navigation and location solutions, covering a wide range of products and regions. [Slashphone]
