Samsung has confirmed that they will release the Galaxy S smartphone in Canada this summer or before the end of August. The Canadian version features a 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen display, Android 2.1 (upgradeable to Froyo), a 1GHz processor, a 5MP camera and an HD video recording. These pictures show Vibrant’s menu and the apps that will be pre-loaded with the handset such as Kindle, Mobile TV, Slacker Radio, GoGo Wi-Fi app and several games. The handset will become available in Australia starting on July 1st via Optus for free with a 2-year contract agreement and a Social plan ($59 per month).
