
KDDI and Sharp have joined together to launch the AQUOS IS14SH in the Japanese market. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 operating system, the phone features a slide-out keyboard, a 3.7-inch (960×540) New Mobile ASV Liquid crystal panel touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel digital camera with 720p video recording, a microSDHC card slot, a 1Seg TV tuner, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi connectivity. Sharp will launch the Aquos SH-01D in the Japanese market via NTT DoCoMo. The smartphone features a 4.5-inch glasses-free 3D display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 1GB of RAM, a superb 12.1MP rear-facing camera, a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot and the Google Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS. Sharp will release the Aquos Phone 102SH in the Japanese market. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor with a large 4.5-inch (720 x 1280) glasses-free 3D display, a 1GB of RAM, a microSDHC card slot and a 12-megapixel digital camera with CMOS sensor. The Sharp Aquos Phone 102SH also supports DLNA, infrared, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, e-wallet functionality and Bluetooth 3.0. SoftBank Japan is ready to release the Aquos Phone 102SH in December 2011. NTT DoCOMo has collaborated with Orange to release the Sharp Aquos SH80F 3D phone in Asia and Europe. The smartphone features the Google Android 2.3 OS, a 4.2-inch (960×540) glassless 3D display and a pair of 8MP CMOS cameras with 3D video recording in 720×1280 resolution. Other specs include Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. There is also an HDMI port, so you can enjoy watching 3D videos in a bigger display. [Newlaunches]

Sharp will release the Aquos SH8298U glasses-free 3D smartphone in Japan via SoftBank. Powered by the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the smartphone features a fast 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor with an Adreno 205 GPU, a 4.2-inch qHD glasses-free 3D display, a 512MB RAM, a 2GB of storage space, and a couple of 8-megapixel main camera at the back for 3D videos and photos. SoftBank Japan will release an Android-based “Yahoo Phone”, which is actually a re-branded “Sharp AQUOS SoftBank 009SH”. The handset features the Google Android 2.3 as the OS, a 4-inch LCD with QHD resolution, an 8MP CMOS camera, Bluetooth 3.0, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, a microSDHC slot, a digital TV tuner, an e-wallet function, infrared communication, etc. Users can expect to find selected Android apps and services from Yahoo Japan pre-installed on the device, for example Yahoo Japan Home, Yahoo Japan Auctions, a calendar, dictionary, Yahoo Loco (the company’s LBS), etc. SoftBank subscribers who purchase the phone will become Yahoo Japan premium members for a period of two years for free (instead of having to pay $4.50 monthly) and can also get additional points for every purchase made on Yahoo Shopping for the next two years.
