The latest high-end camera phone from Sharp is now being tested by the FCC. The Sharp SH-01A is a clamshell handset that sports a 28mm wide-angle lens with 8MP CCD sensor and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound. You can also store music and video files on the microSD memory card. [Engadget]
Sharp’s latest handset, the 9225H, has been unveiled at CEATEC 2008. It is actually the Softbank-destined mobile phone that comes jam packed with a 3.5-inch VGA screen, a built-in 1seg TV tuner, multimedia player, e-mail functionality, 2MP shooter and a microSDHC slot. Sharp has decided to release the 923SH 5.2MP camera phone in the Japanese market through Softbank. This handset will be available on July 5th, 2008. The phone features a 3.3-inch AQUOS swiveling LCD with 480 x 845 resolution. Its camera adopts auto-focus feature that stabilizes hand-shake blurring. Other features included GPS function, Bluetooth connectivity, global roaming service and 1-Seg support. [AVING]
Walt Disney has collaborated with Sharp to release the new DM002SH phone in June 7th, 2008. Dubbed as the Cinderella phone, it features a 2.6 inch internal display with a WQVGA resolution (400×240 pixel), a 0.5 inch external OLED display, 50MB of memory, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, microSD slot, and a 1Seg Tuner. The handset is currently available in three variants; Clear Crystal, Brown Topaz, and Pink Diamond. [Akihabara]
Sharp will release a clamshell phone in Japan ( FOMA SH705iII) that comes with a built-in TV tuner along with 3G international roaming, a 2.8″ 262k color display (400 x 240 resolution), a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, an external monochromatic OLED display, a microSD memory card slot, and battery life of 175 minutes for talk time and 2 hours for TV viewing. Japan will release a new handset by Sharp that has a full qwerty keyboard, a 3.5-inch 260,000 pixel display with 480 x 854 resolution, and a 2M camera. There will also be support for 1-Seg, international roaming service, HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity. The 922HS comes in four different colors including pearl white, metallic black, bronze gold and pearl pink. No word on pricing or release dates right now.
