Disney Mobile has recently announced their first smartphone, which will be released in February this year. It is actually a redesigned Sharp 003SH that comes jam packed with a 3.8-inch parallax 3D display, a 9.6MPx camera and the Google Android 2.2 OS. The handset also features Disney’s original home screen, apps, widgets, and emoticons. No word yet on pricing. [Akihabara]

Sharp is ready to release cell phones with autostereoscopic (glasses-free) 3D display in the US, China and India in 2011. Sharp will release two Android 3D phones for Japan’s Softbank network namely the Galapagos 003SH and Galapagos 005SH. The company will also release the LYNX SH-03C for NTT DoCoMo. The Sharp AQUOS Shot 002SH camera phone from Softbank comes equipped with a 14.1MP digital camera, which is capable of recording 720p HD video. This waterproof phone (IPX5/IPX7) adopts the Sharp ProPix technology that allows the camera to take a picture in less than 0.5 seconds. The Sharp AQUOS Shot 002SH also features Auto Focus, face recognition and pet mode. What’s more, the handset also provides an HDMI out port, a 3.4-inch touchscreen display with a VGA resolution, a 123MB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a microSDHC cards slot for storage expansion. Sharp and KDDI have collaborated to launch the IS03 Android smartphone in late-November 2010. Measuring 6.3cm × 12.1cm × 1.26cm and weighing at 138 grams, the IS03 features Sharp’s own 9.6 megapixel CCD camera with autofocus and ProPix image processor, a 960×640-resolution 3.5-inch touchscreen, an Android OS 2.1 (upgradeable to 2.2 on a yet-unannounced date) with Flash Lite 4.0, Android Market and KDDI’s “one Market”. What’s more, the IS03 also has an infrared for quick data communication between two phones, a one-seg TV for watching TV on-the-go, and the Osaifu-keitai contact-less IC payment chip. Sharp has decided to release a couple of new Tapas OS for the Chinese market. For your info, the Tapas OS is the Chinese version of Android OS. The first model the Sharp SH828U 3G phone that comes equipped with a 3.5-inch WVGA screen, a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, a 5-megapixel camera with AF and flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a microSD slot.
