The new calling plans start from as little as €0.89 ($1.09/£.69) per month and offer effective rates as low as €0.01 ($.01/£.01) per minute to almost any destination around the globe. The Buffalo VH-MU01 Skype USB phone provides Skype conversations from your computer/notebook. Available in black or white colors, the handset can also function as a Fusion IP phone. No word on pricing or availability so far. [Akihabara]

CrunchGear has reported that Skype will release a handset that will feature Skype’s famous service for making long-distance and international calls. The mobile phone will support 3G internet service for web browsing. However, you will have to pay a regular monthly service fee for the phone. This Skype handset will be available in the UK, Italy, Hong Kong and Australia.

The Q Internet Phone consist of a pair of 2W stereo speakers, a microphone, a webcam, and speakerphone functionality. You just need to hook this device up to any available USB port, install the necessary drivers, and ensure your Skype account is up and running before you start chatting away for free with other Skype users. Its echo cancellation microphone has a pick up radius of up to 5 meters while the webcam can be concealed to keep dust from the lens. No word on pricing yet.

Amex Digital has launched the TSP-VS501, a new wireless Skype phone that comes with a touch sensitive keypad. Too bad, the phone’s display is just a monochrome. Pricing and availability have not been announced yet.
