
The Pantech doublEye IM-U490S is the company’s latest slider phone for the South Korean market. Released under the Sky brand, this new handset is equipped with a 2.6-inch QVGA display, a 3MP camera, an animated Flash menu, widgets support, a 130MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a DMB-TV tuner, a music player and supports 7.2Mbps HSPDA connectivity. No to mention, the phone also comes with a picture-in-picture feature and lets you use the photo camera and the video camera at the same time. Sprint has launched another affordable phone from LG namely the LG LX290. This slider phone offers a 1.33 x 1.77 inches QVGA TFT screen, a 1.3MP camera with 2x digital zoom, GPS (Sprint Navigation), Picture Messaging, Bluetooth, NFL Mobile Live, a 2.5mm headset jack and a 950 mAh battery for up to 6 hours of talk time. Sony Ericsson is out with a new slider phone namely the T715, which is available in two different versions: Sony Ericsson T715 (with quad-band GSM and 2100 HSPA), and Sony Ericsson T715a (with quad-band GSM and 850/1900/2100 HSPA). As for the specs itself, you’ll find a 2.2-inch QVGA display with 256K colors, a 3.2MP camera with Photo light, a new UI feature, a music player, a Stereo FM radio with RDS, Google Maps, a 90MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. Sony Ericsson T715 and T715a will hit the market starting the third quarter of 2009, in two color versions: Galaxy Silver and Rouge Pink for unannounced price yet. More

Samsung is out with another one of its slider phone namely the Samsung S5050, which is quite similar to the S5200 that was announced in Russia yesterday. The main difference between the two handsets is that the S5050 comes with an AMOLED QVGA screen, meanwhile, the S5200 is equipped with a TFT QVGA screen. So here are the rest of the specs: a Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, a 3.2MP autofocus camera with LED flash, an FM radio with RDS, a 40MB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP connectivity and a 800 mAh battery. The phone is expected to hit the market starting this summer for a retail price around $235. More

Motorola has added a new handset to its W series range with the introduction of W7. This new slider phone is a sports-oriented, water-resistant device that boasts a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2MP camera, a secondary camera for video calls, a microSD card slot, music player, FM radio and bound for China Unicom’s upcoming 3G network.
