
AT&T in collaboration with TerreStar are set to release their first hybrid smartphone called the TerreStar Genus. This particular smartphone provides access to both AT&T’s network and TerreStar’s satellite network providing users with a wider coverage area. Apart from that, the handset also features a 2.6-inch touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows Mobile OS and supports both GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA connectivities. Amazon has recently dropped the price of the Nokia N900 smartphone to $582.99, $66.01 cheaper than its current pre-order price. In case you didn’t know, the N900 is the company first Maemo-based device to have phone capabilities. Rumor has it that Sony Ericsson’s upcoming first Android smartphone ‘Xperia X3 Rachael‘ might be released in January next year. As mentioned earlier, this high-end smartphone will feature a 4-inch touchscreen display with 800 x 400 resolution, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8MP autofocus camera, a new customized user interface, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headset jack. French Android-fansite FrAndroid has managed to reveal the first exclusive picture of Samsung’s upcoming Android smartphone ‘Galaxy Lite i5700′. According to them, the handset will feature a trackball, WiFi, 3G+ (HSDPA), GPS, Bluetooth and come preloaded with Google services. Chinese-based company, Sunno is reportedly working on their new smartphone called the S880.
