
Toshiba will finally release its ultra-thin TG01 smartphone in the UK starting on July 9. However, it’s not clear which carrier will offer the handset including details about the price. So here’s a quick reminder in case you’ve forgotten, you’ll find a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, Toshiba’s own 3D User interface, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi and runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. The third Android smartphone from HTC namely the HTC Hero has been officially unveiled. This new smartphone runs on Android 1.5 OS and features a 3.2-inch fingerprint-resistant touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, a 5MP camera with autofocus, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, Google Maps, Google Streetview and various other Google apps / services, GPS, WiFi, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports GSM as well as HSDPA connectivity. Huawei has introduced two new handset during CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore in the form of the U8230 and C8000. Let’s start with the first one, the U8230 (pictured above) is the company’s first Android smartphone that features a wide 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, an on-screen QWERTY keyboard, a trackball, various Google apps and a 1,500 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the C8000 utilizes the Windows Mobile operating system and offers a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, a 3D menu graphic user interface (GUI) and a unique independent display adapter which enables the smooth presentation of video files and DVD-quality. Both smartphones will be commercially available in the second half of 2009 for unannounced price yet. More

Samsung has officially unveiled their latest smartphone in the form of the Samsung Jet, aka S8000 Cubic. This new handset supports the latest smartphone features including multi-task manager and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. Apart from that, the Jet also boasts a 3.1-inch 16M WVGA AMOLED display, a 5MP camera, a 800MHz processor, Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 2.0 UI, GPS, WiFi, DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology for superior sound quality and DivX and XviD video support for hassel-free video downloading and viewing. Nokia Conversations, a blog officially run by Nokia, has accidentally posted a video on YouTube showing Nokia’s upcoming E72 handset, which seems to be the successor of the recently released Nokia E71. Overall, this new smartphone looks very similar to the E71, but it looks slightly better. So let’s check out some of the specs, a 5MP camera with flash, a redesigned QWERTY keyboard, a new navigation pad and a 3.5mm headset jack located on the top side. Samsung will soon add another Symbian S60-powered smartphone to its line-up in the form of the Samsung B5100. This unannounced mid-end candybar phone will sport a metallic case, a QVGA display, a 3MP camera with LED flash, DivX playback support, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and HSDPA connectivity. sadly, there’s no word on pricing and availability yet.
