RIM has unveiled the BlackBerry Colt, which is known as the company’s first QNX-based smartphone. Powered by a single core processor, the handset has a similar form factor to the BlackBerry Bold. PC Mobile is ready to release its first Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy 550. The network carrier offers the smartphone for only $99 prepaid. As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy 550 features the Google Android OS 2.1 operating system, a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, and a 2-megapixel camera. The FCC has recently released the Droid Bionic FCC documents this morning, detailing the upcoming Android phone and tests performed on the phone. Other documents that have been released include the phone’s user manual, which should please anybody planning to pick up the phone. It has been confirmed that the Motorola Droid Bionic will have a 1Ghz TI OMAP 4430 processor, a 4.3-inch (960 x 540) qHD display, an 8-megapixel camera with a LED flash, and LTE support. Koodo Mobile has decided to drop the price of the Google Nexus S. This network carrier sells the Nexus S for only $350. For your info, the original price was $425. Rogers has announced the upcoming 3-year pricing for the BlackBerry Bold 9900, Torch 9860 and 9810 smartphones. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 9860 will have a 3-year contract price of $199.99. The highly anticipated BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be available on a 3-year contract for $249.99. In case you didn’t know, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 has a 5.0MP camera with flash and 720p HD video recording capability, as well as a 4GB on-board flash memory.
