Philips has released the first official photos including specs of its upcoming second Android Smartphone, the V808. Specs-wise, the handset is equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), music and video players, widget support, GPS, a 1000 mAh battery and supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. MetroPCS and Samsung has launched the new Samsung Code (SCH-i220) that uses Windows Mobile 6.1 as its operating system. The Samsung Code supports a 3G data connection, a 2MP digital camera, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth and a QWERTY keyboard. There is also an optional WizPro interface for customization on the home screen and creating shortcuts to the most frequently used features on the phone, including inbox, calendar appointments, and more. Vodafone has officially announced the upcoming release of BlackBerry Storm2 9520 on their network. The company will start selling the Storm2 9520 on October 26th for free with a 2-year contract agreement and a data plan of at least £35 per month. Specs-wise, this new smartphone offers a large 3.25-inch 360 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and flash, a media player, a 256MB of Flash memory, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, BlackBerry OS 5 and supports both UMTS/HSPA (2100Mhz) as well as quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM connectivities. Acer has officially announced the Acer Liquid, which is claimed as the world’s first Android 1.6 high definition smartphone that uses Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The handset is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with a high-definition WVGA capacitive touchscreen, a new user interface with easy access to entertainment and web bookmarks, and an optimized camera with geo-tagging and auto focus. In addition, the Acer Liquid also provides smart integration of Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa and Flickr in the address book with realtime notification of status or content updates.
