Motorola will release the SIM-free version of RAZR Maxx in the UK in May 2012. The smartphone is currently available for pre-order in the UK for £430.80 (including taxes). The Pantech Vega Racer 2 is claimed as the world’s first smartphone that features a ceramic body. The ceramic body should be a lot more durable than plastic body. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket has been approved by the FCC. It means that this Android phone will be launched in the U.S. market very soon. The Galaxy Pocket features a small 2.8-inch display with a 240 x 320 pixel resolution, an 832MHz processor, a 3GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 2-megapixel rear-facing digital camera. The handset runs on the Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS with Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket supports GSM 850/1900 and UMTS Band V radios. This Value Pack consists of several Ice Cream Sandwich-specific features such as Face Unlock and the ability to change font size in Contacts, Calendar, or Messaging. RIM has unveiled the specification of the BlackBerry Curve 9220.
