The handset retails for 349.99 GBP SIM-free (about $562) and will begin shipping from August 15th. Sony Ericsson has announced a new candybar QWERTY phone to its range with the introduction of the Sony Ericsson txt. This BlackBerry-styled candybar phone sports a 2.6-inch QVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a full QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, an SMS shortcut key, Facebook and Twitter access and WiFi connectivity. Vodafone UK is reportedly preparing to launch the red version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo on their network. The handset is currently being listed on their product page as ‘coming soon’, however, there’s no word on pricing and the exact release date yet. Just like the blue and silver versions, the red version will have the same 3.7-inch 854 x 480 touchscreen display, a 1GHz single-core processor, an 8.0-megapixel camera, 720p HD video recording capabilities, GPS, HSDPA, WiFi and run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. Available via Flipkart online shop, the handset is currently being sold for Rs. 10,950 (about $244).
