
Sprint will launch the Samsung Nexus S 4G in Spring 2011. This Android smartphone supports Sprint’s high-speed 4G data network and features a 4-inch Contour Display, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, front and rear facing cameras, a 16GB of internal memory, and NFC (near field communication) hardware. Sprint is preparing to launch the all new Kyocera Echo dual-touchscreen Android smartphone on their network starting on April 17th. The handset will retail for $199.99 with a new two-year contract agreement. To refresh your memory, the Kyocera Echo packs two high-resolution 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen displays, a 1GHz processor, a 5.0-megapixel camera, a 1GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 720p HD video recording support, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs on Android 2.2 OS. Sprint has recently launched a new promotion to new customers, who port their number from another network carriers. They will receive a service credit with Sprint, depending on what type of new line is activated. If you port your number to a new smartphone line, then you will receive a $125 service credit. Bad news for all Samsung Epic 4G owners. Sprint has recently removed the Android 2.2 update for the Epic 4G from their servers. The issues being reported are related to data connectivity following the upgrade and SD card issues when attempting to access photos, music, etc. If you are experiencing these issues, a hard reset has been reported to resolve the problems.
