Tag Heuer today introduced the Link smartphone. Priced at €4,700 ($6,712), the handset runs on the Google Android 2.2 OS, a 3.5-inch (800 x 480) display, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, a 256MB internal memory, an 8GB memory card, a 1400mAh battery, and EDGE / HSUPA connectivity. The new TAG Heuer Fuchsia MERIDIIST GMT comes with a back cover dressed in Acrochordus Arafurae skin. In case you didn’t know, the Acrochordus Arafurae is a water snake from New Guinea and northern Australia. The phone features a QVGA sapphire crystal main display, a secondary OLED screen and a 2MP camera. Too bad, there is no info on pricing or availability at this time. [Mobile-review]
TAG Heuer has collaborated with the famous Italian super sports car manufacturer Lamborghini to create the limited-edition MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone in order to pay tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded. Inspired by the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640′s V12 engine block, the phone is housed in black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel. Meanwhile, the back of the phone is engraved with its limited edition number and the keyboard is customized with Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button. In addition, the phone’s display is also made from 60.5 carats of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The phone comes with a rechargeable battery that provides up to seven hours of talk time or 28 days of standby time. The TAG Heuer MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone will be available in November at selected TAG Heuer and Lamborgini retailers. The Almighty FCC has recently approved the TAG Heuer Meridiist Mobile Phone. The phone features a standard 1.9-inch QVGA display screen in front and an OLED display on top of the phone’s body that shows some useful info. The TAG Heuer Meridiist Mobile Phone will be available in second half of 2008. [FCC]
This new phone from Tag Heuer is what we call fancy meets function. This Avant Garde looking phone is very user friendly not to mention its great functions such as the Bi-directional hour display, a Chronograph, camera and more.
