The Toshiba IS02 is now available in Japan via au KDDI. The handset is also known as the Toshiba K01. The phone is powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3G, a 4.1-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with customized NX! Toshiba today unveiled two new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2010, which are known as the Toshiba TG02 and K01. Both cell phones come jam packed with a 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a microSD memory card slot that supports up to 32GB. The Toshiba TG02 is a successor to the previously released TG01. Measuring 9.9 mm thick, the new model features a capacitive screen and a new 3D user interface. Meanwhile, the K01 is a slider handset with a sliding keyboard. Measuring at 12.9 mm, it will also be Toshiba’s first smartphone with an AMOLED screen. FCC has approved the successor to the Toshiba TG01 smartphone. Dubbed as the Toshiba TG02, the phone sports WiFI 802.11b/g and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the Toshiba TG02 doesn’t support 3G. According to rumors, the TG02 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4.1-inch LCD display. Stay tuned for more updates. [PhonesReview]
Japanese mobile phone operator, KDDI has introduced a new clamshell phone from Toshiba namely the E08T. Featuring a waterproof enclosure, the E08T offers a 3-inch FWVGA display, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus, a 100MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, GPS, infrared, BREW OS and supports both GSM and CDMA connectivities. The Toshiba E08T will become available in Japan this month for unannounced price yet. [KDDI]
Toshiba will finally release its ultra-thin TG01 smartphone in the UK starting on July 9. However, it’s not clear which carrier will offer the handset including details about the price.
