
Toshiba is dropping the new Cosmic Shiner handset which is a better version of the FanFun 815T cell phone with studded diamonds. There will only be about 1,000 of these being issued through an invitation-only scheme, and perhaps benefit from a Prestige Gold membership service. Each phone will be going for $4,000. [BornRich]

Japan will be launching a new phone by Toshiba inspired by the Japanese cartoon Transformers. There’s no specs revealed so far or release/price info. Stay tuned for more updates. [Akihabara]

Emobile will release some new phones in the Spring collection: the Toshiba H11T and the HTC S11HT. Both are HSDPA phones, the H11T features a 3.2MPx digicam, bluetooth, audio/video player, microSD port. The S11HT comes with a 3MPx digital camera, 2.8 inches screen, windows mobile 6, GPS, bluetooth, and a microSD port. No word on prices or when these will drop. [Akihabara] More

Toshiba will release a new smart phone called the G810 which is a Windows Mobile 6 device that features support for HSDPA and HSUPA, along with built-in GPS and A-GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth along with a 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen, a 3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot for expansion and an FM radio. No word on pricing, but the Portege should hit Europe the 2nd quarter of 08.

The Toshiba 911T by Softbank has been unlocked and is compatible with WCDMA networks. It comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and video capture ability, a 3″ 480 x 800 display and Bluetooth A2DP support. However the following features probably wont work such as GPS, 1Seg DMB, Felica e-money, and the internet.

Toshiba usually doesn’t make smartphones, but recently, they submitted two to the FCC. Both the G910 and G920 should run on Windows Mobile 6, QWERTY keyboard has flat buttons as well as a thick appearance which makes it bulky to fit in pockets. Hopefully the final product is better than this.
