Samsung is about to launch another entry-level touchscreen phone in the form of the S3370. Specs-wise, the handset will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a photo camera on the back, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity. Two of LG’s latest touchscreen phones ‘Cookie Plus GS500‘ and ‘Cookie Fresh GS290′ are finally making their way to Europe this March. To refresh your memory, the Cookie Plus GS500 offers a 3.0-inch 240 x 400 touchscreen display, a 3MP camera, an animated UI with widgets, an MP3 player, an FM radio, 3G, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports direct access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. Meanwhile, the Cookie Fresh GS290 features a 3.0-inch 240 x 400 touchscreen display, a 2MP camera, an accelerometer sensor, an MP3 player, an FM radio, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports direct access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. InfoSonics has recently announced a new touchscreen phone for the Latin America market. Dubbed as the Verykool i270, the handset offers a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display, a 2MP camera, a microSD card slot, a music player, a web browser, email, a speakerphone, a 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity. MetroPCS has recently launched its first touchscreen from Samsung known as the Caliber R860. Specs-wise, the handset is equipped with a 3.2-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, a 3MP camera with flash, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, a microSD card slot (up to 16GB), a full HTML web browser, GPS with MetroNavigator, email, social networking integration (Facebook, MySpace), Bluetooth, a 1080 mAh battery and supports CDMA (1×800/1900 MHz) connectivity. Motorola has recently announced that their latest touchscreen phone ‘QUENCH (aka CLIQ XT)‘ will be coming to Brazil in late March via TIM (the country’s third largest mobile carrier, with more than 40 million subscribers). However, there’s no word on pricing yet at the moment.
