US Cellular is ready to launch the Samsung Gem Android-powered smartphone on April 1st, 2011. The network carrier sells this handset for $29.99 after a $80 mail-in rebate. What’s more, you can also get the Samsung Gem on US Cellular’s Belief Project, which doesn’t require you to sign any additional contract after you have fulfilled an initial two-year agreement. A new Android smartphone from LG is about to be launched by US Cellular. Called the LG Optimus U, the handset will sport a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), a virtual QWERTY keyboard with Swype technology, WiFi, a 3.5mm headset jack and run on Android 2.2 OS. U.S. Cellular has announced the release date of the Samsung Acclaim. The handset will be released on July 9th, 2010 for $99.95 after mail-in rebate. The Samsung Acclaim features a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a physical sliding QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1 OS, a 3MP camera with LED flash, Wi-Fi, EVDO and an access to Android Market.
